It was a simple task, really: Make a fly-by, get in close, give a general idea of machine-flow and present a few selling facts.
The 3D-work and design
The brilliant 3D-team build an entire cement factory in a few days. Low poly, but still. To emphasise the Calciner, the rest of the factory was kept in a light grey shade with just enough detail to form a plausible factory.

Animated info graphics
Now all we had to do was to make our story come to life! The purpose of it all was to present a few facts. Large, animated infographics were developed for that purpose, and placed to appear floating when the presenter mentioned each topics.

The Presenter
Since the presentation was meant for supposedly non-VR users, we went for a linear storyline, where the viewer would be able to take a few steps and look around, but with no interaction at all. Thus, we needed a presenter, and went with a live talking head in your lower left field of vision.

End product screenshots
The VR tour was presented at an Oculus Rift station at the fair, and later downsized to be viewable on Oculus Quest for mobile sales presentations.
